Currently, universities are making every effort to actively
respond to the rapidly changing educational environment,
such as a rapid decline in enrollment resources, a freeze in tuition
fees, and a change in the government's financial support system.
junior colleges are also doing their best to secure university competitiveness
following their entry into Glocal University and the introduction of a regional
innovation-oriented university support system (RISE).

Meanwhile, due to the government's change in the financial support
system, the university evaluation system has been reorganized, abolishing the existing
university basic competency diagnosis evaluation, and using the results of institutional
evaluation certification and financial diagnosis of the Korea Foundation
for the purpose of financial support (support for university innovation projects,
restrictions on national scholarships and student loans).

TUnder these circumstances, the Korea Institute of Vocational Education
and Evaluation has changed its name to the Korea Institute of Vocational Education
and Evaluation since January 2025 to secure public confidence in higher
vocational education and is steadily preparing for the 4th cycle of institutional
evaluation and certification (26 to 30 years).

In the future, our institute will continue to strive to reduce the university's
evaluation burden, increase the rationality and flexibility of evaluation criteria,
and increase the fairness and objectivity of evaluation by boldly removing unnecessary
evaluation factors while performing institutional evaluation certification.

In addition, we will operate the institutional evaluation certification system as
a consulting concept for university operation and development rather than
an evaluation of the university's operation results, and develop the certification
system so that universities can understand and actively participate in the purpose and
purpose of the university by combining the reality of junior colleges and ways to enhance
competitiveness.

Finally, we will do our best to secure international equivalence and common use of
the quality of junior college education by adjusting the certification system
to the international level and to grow and develop into a certification system
with public confidence at the international level.
